Starving Author

The year is 2024 and the world is still reeling from the pandemic that wiped out billions of people from the planet. Through a stroke of good (or bad) luck, it was discovered that the vaccine that was supposed to save humanity from the virus was actually a cure for cancer, and those eighteen million souls who received it are the only ones left.
Two of those survivors are Charlie and Everett, who now have the opportunity to create lives for themselves wherever they choose. The world is literally open to them. Though they come from different walks of life, Everett a former member of the Canadian Navy, and Charlie a recovering alcoholic, they set out for one of the most beautiful places they can think of: Vancouver Island.
With so few people left, it seems like fate that they should meet in a rural part of the island. Their connection is instant, and within days they realize that they want to spend the rest of their lives together. The love they share is full of honesty, trust, and passion. As they work together to find ways to survive in this reality, Charlie battles intense nightmares that also haunt her during the day. Everett is there to help ease her troubles, but Charlie can’t help thinking, is he too good to be true?

In No Ordinary Love, Everett and Charlie’s story takes a different direction— in a darker, more visceral world. After truly awaken from a coma suffered at the hands of “an afflicted” during a brutal attack, Charlie and Everett find themselves navigating the desolate remnants of a once vibrant world. Still ravaged by a pandemic, this time the virus destroys its victims’ frontal lobes, stripping them of empathy and unleashing violent, primal urges. When Charlie awakens from her coma, she discovers she has entered yet another fractured reality—one where she and Everett are both military operatives fighting to survive amidst chaos and horror.
This Everett is not the man from her dreams, but a former enemy. A rivalry based on misconceptions and bad timing. Charlie, haunted by her shameful past and determined to stay sober, has channeled her discipline into joining the military. Her dedication is tested when she is introduced to her training officer, Sergeant Everett Peterson. Who infuriates her, instantly rubbing her the wrong way. Their rivalry ignites from the moment they meet, each challenging the other in ways neither expected. Yet through shared battles, betrayal, and unspeakable trials, they forge a bond built not on only lust, but on trust, respect, and an unyielding devotion. Their love grows slowly, grounded in survival and mutual dependence, as they face ambushes, torture, and deception. The worst of humankind is thrown at them.
By the end, No Ordinary Love transforms their connection into something transcendent—a testament to endurance, sacrifice, and the unwavering belief that even in the darkest worlds, love remains humanity’s last refuge. They are forever bonded together.
Together, these two novels trace the evolution of love in two different lights—from fantasy to reality, from desire to devotion—but both revealing that even when the world ends, the heart still finds a way to begin again.
